Door lock won't lock need help...95 S430
 

Just like it says, the door locks aren't working anymore. Just wondering if anyone had some kind of schematic of the air system, so I could start to trouble shoot the problem, I think it may be the valve in the door..if it is in the door.

I have read some of the other posts, and but didn't really glean much from them.

So just wondering if someone has a drawing or something I may be able to use to get started.

The 140 body locks are controlled by a microswitch in the doors and trunk which control a vacuum/pressure pump under the passenger rear seat. If nothing locks eg. trunk gas door it is either a fuse or bad pump, your lumbars, backup rods and rear vacuum headrest release come off the same pump. Try the fuse if it resets there is a leak some where since the tump has time and pressure/vacuum sensors.

I can hear the pump working, just nothing with the locks...that is why I was hoping someone had a schematic or something to look at to start the troubleshooting, but I will check that just to make sure...thanks for the help.

Bad lock actuators
 

Don't know if you got your answer but it sounds like your lock actuator is bad if the vacuum is working.

In the DIY section there are a couple of schematics on the vacuum system. Getting to the actuator is relatively simple. It does require taking off the door panel which is very easy to do, but needs to be done with care so that you don't break any clips. Once you get the door panel off the actuator is bolted on to the door frame and is relatively easy to get out.

Take a look in the DIY section. I don't remember the exact link but there were several drawings in there.
