throttle body adjustment help

hello,
Can you tell where I can adjust the vacuum pressure going to the tranning modulator. I was told it maybe to high, and reason for late shifting in 3rd&4th gear.
I have a 88 190e 2.3

The modulator itself is adjustable.

Thanks Steve,

How do you adjust the actuator? I thought it was just install it and forget it. The check engine light may also be the throttle position sensor. That code has come up in the past, but I was hoping that that code came up because of the bad throttle body.

so it an actulator that controls the vacuum pressure through the valve body;if so where is located?

I would do a search - I haven't needed to adjust ours, but those with direct experience have ofter posted here. The modulator is mounted on the side of the tranny, and dropping the tranny from its mount may be necessary to get clearance. The adjustment has nothing to do with varying the vacuum - it allows the modulator to be calibrated.
