I'm Locked In. Help!

I was doing some electrical work, and upon finishing I went to reconnect the battery and all of a sudden the alarm went off and it locked the doors...with the one and only key inside!

Is there anyway of opening the doors? I only have the hood open.

If I could only get into the trunk I would be able to manualy open the sunroof and climb in.

Any ideas??? Can I tap into the electrical somehow under the hood or get air into one of the vacuum lines???

1987 300D Turbo W124

Thanks.

I am sad to report that (after revewing the CD) all access to the system both electric and vacuum apears to be behind the locked doors, in the trunk, and the drivers footwell.

get yourself a key, a locksmith, or a coat hanger and some new window trim.

The dealer may be able to make a key with the VIN and proof of ownership.

On the 126, old tow truck guy used a plastic wedge on the rear window glass and hooked a noose on the end of a long stiff wire to the front door inner handle and opened it in 30 seconds. Hope you have a similarly talented type nearby.
Don't know if the 124 offers the same access.

You can try to disconnect and reconnect the battery, sometimes this opens the locks.

Make Way For Sandpaper!

I took some thick sandpaper, and slid it down the side of the passenger front door. Then after a minute of giggling, I was able to wrap it around the knob and voila the rough side of the sandpaper held on around the knob as I popped it up. :)

Luckily I never bought the Euro style knobs or this would have never worked.

Thanks to all.
