The wiper switch does not work on the first click, but operates on the remaining positions. Is it a wiper motor problem or switch problem? Thanks for any clues you might offer. Dave

if its anything like mine it was my wiper transmission and motor...the dealer was over $600.00 but did find a salvage yard for about $300.00
good luck..mine did that for about a week then stopped working all together.. benzat 1982 380 SEC

Any update on your wipper problem, my 83 s80 sl just started to have the wippers only travel part way unless it is really raining.
