New glow plugs, old relay

Hi!

I posted this on Diesel Discussion and uncharacteristically, no one no one gave me an answer, although props to H-Townbenzboy for giving it a go.

I bought new glow plugs recently, the Bosch Duraterm type that are supposed to stay lit for a few minutes after the engine starts so as to warm it faster, but I have an old relay, not the Bosch Duraterm type relay the plugs are meant to be used with.

Now I'm sure these new plugs won't stay lit for the extra time with the old relay I have, but I'm not worried about that. My question is can anything bad come of the fact that I have the new plugs but the old relay? I'm thinking not but I'm not quite positive.

Thanks!
