Flashing Lights

Just a few minutes ago I was just sitting here on the computer, when i noticed something strange. I looked outside and saw lights flashing, i soon realized that it was my 1989 420SEL, the headlights were flashing and i have no clue why.
Can someone please tell me what is going on, is it the alarm or something?

The alarm?

After we noticed the lights and when they went off, we tried to set it off again, like trying to open all of the doors, and even pushing the car up and down, even side to side trying to see if it was the alarm. But nothing happened. If it is the alarm, can you explain to me how it goes off and where the wires are, so i can make sure they are good, cause the horn didnt go off when it was flashing.

I wonder if your car has remote-start. The reason I say that is I get the parking lights flashing sometimes, and I know it has to do with my remote start. Luckily I look at the car all the time. , otherwise I fear it could kill my battery by morning.
