I realize you're not asking but are you sure a .5 will work - a 97 should have come new with a 722.6.

Yes the transmission is the 722.509, many mb e320 were also equiped with the .6 and some with the .4. I am looking for the .5 transmission valve body.

It would help greatly if you told us where you are. Many (most?) of the members are from the US and Canada, and North America only got the 722.6 in model year 1997 in C-Class and E-Class bodies...

Hi this car was sold in Mexico. I undestand that some slk 1997 and on also came with the 722.5. HELP please.
