Can't get the center pin to release completely from the body to fold up and bring down into the compartment. Followed directions, but no go. Possibly needs an adjustment???

there is a cable which can be adjusted once you get the pin to release. It's not uncommon for that cable to stretch w/ age. Keep @ it, sometimes it just takes a good swift shove of the handle to get it to release. Just be careful of the interior and your fingers!
