engine cutting out
 

i have a 1988 300 ce. the last month my car a couple of times a day just cuts out for no reason. will not start up right away have to wait 30 sec to a minute to start. the car seems to be running fine other than this problem. i will be cruising and all of a sudden just cuts out and have to pull over and start up and will run fine sometimes for hrs other times for min. also while on the freeway & this happens i coast and try to get to the shoulder i'll pump the gas & nothing a few times though it will catch & start running fine again. no master mechanic here just trying to fix myself if possible. any suggestions ? help? advice ? thanks in advance

try the fuel filter, you'll only be losing a couple bucks.
