Hello

I just got a 560sl with 55000 miles. The previous owner changed all hoses spark plugs fuel pumps filters . I drove it for about 20 miles the first night and the car run great whle cold then started to hesitate and black smoke from tail pipes.

That was last wenesday. Friday I when for spin and after 20 minutes hesitated aggain and black smoke out the tail pipe stop twice but started back up made it home.

This morning took it for spin to a mechanic and stop after 2 miles never cranck back up.

Check to see if there is spark and its good. Any sugestions??

On an older car, the ignition wires may not survive being disturbed when the car is tuned up. Start the car in a dark garage with the hood up (safely, with the e-brake on and garage door open, of course) and look for sparks and corona. This happened to me - so I replaced the honest-to-goodness original 18-year old wires!
