help me ID this engine
 

Greetings from Nova Scotia!
I'm looking at a 5-cylinder MB diesel which is not in a vehicle and the current owner doesn't have a clue what it came out of, other than it was a MB car . . .

cast on front of head

that's all I have found so far. Where do I look for what to more accurately ID it? thanks
