I have a great 1986 560SEL (115k miles) which occasionally exhibits hesitation following coasting. I re-step on the gas and occasionally get absolutely no response for a short period, and then the engine responds normally. As long as I keep my foot slightly on the gas, no problem. Motor runs fine in every other way. This has occured very rarely over the last 5 years, but last night it happened after every coast. I guess I can't ignore it anymore.
