1989 300CE Check engine light not working
 

The check engine light does not work at all, it does not light up on start up, any suggestions?

be thankful;).

I might be if there was another way to get it to pass smog cert ;)

Is the bulb okay? :confused:

hahahahaha, I have a 92 300E and just now I found out that it has a check engine light........it does not light up n my car either......and I really cant see it on the dash.....so were should it be?

If it does not light up when the key is in the on position (all the other dash lights on) its likely the bulb (or some previous owner put some black tape over it).

Pull the cluster and switch blubs with one of the other malfuntion indicator lamps and see if the CEL then comes on when you turn the key to "ON".
