Cam Bearing Torque
 
Does anyone know the torque spec for the cam bearing bolts on a 84 500SL euro...5.0...117.960

Thanks for the help. Replacing the oilers, one broke off and the "friend" helping me decided to take the cam bearing off to get it out instead of unscrewing it, not realizing it is not a two piece bearing. He had one bolt loose before I knew what he was doing. I sent him HOME:mad:

Hmmm..glad that didn't happen to me. No way to SAFELY grab it out with a drill bit or maybe a dentist's pick? This is going to be a PITA (but a necessary one) for a tiny bit of plastic.

Actually it is quite easy, the holes that the oilers "snap" into are threaded. You simply use needle nose pliers or tweezers put them in the hole, spread them and unscrew the broken pieces. It did take me a few minutes to figure it out though.
