				94 E320 Installing Blower regulator - Help

I have a 94 E320. I have removed the blower and the plastic piece under the blower. I have removed all the torx screws I can see but there is a still a plastic piece over the heat sink that bends but wouldn't come off. I had to first remove the regulator off the sink and then remove with great difficulty the heat sink by tilting and turning. I now have a new regulator that is factory mounted on the heat sink. Is there a way to insert the sink with the regulator attached? I am afraid that if I remove the regulator, I would disturb the Thermal paste and risk damaging the regulator. After spending quite a bit of time, I am at a loss. Would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks. |

The new part is a single piece with the electrical portion mounted on the heat sink with 2 torx screws. But the only way I could take out the old part was to take out these 2 torx screws and then wiggle out the heat sink from under the plastic part of the cage. I have removed all the torx screws I can see and the plastic part on which blower was resting but there is still a a plastic part in the middle of the blower cage that is above the heat sink that I couldn't remove and had to wiggle the heat sink out. I need advise on how I can insert the new part into its place without separating the heat sink from the electrical portion first? I had great difficulty just taking out the heat sink. Thanks. |

You should just need to remove 3 screws that hold the blower motor mount or bracket in place, then 3 more screws under that and the whole assmbly should come out, did you forget the extra 3 screws? (Fig. 4)
