need help with 91 500sl seats .. please help
The seats in my 91 500sl won't move , please help
I tired changing fuses and they pop right away , is it an easy job taking the seat out to check whats wrong ?? how can I check the motor for the seats ? where is the motor for the seats ?? how do I take the seats out ?? can I move the seats without the motor to place them where I want them ?? please help , thanks |

i cant help except to comment that some of the motors are accessible without removing the seats. in some models you can remove the panel on the back of t he seat and access at least one motor that way.

The back and forth motor is in the base of the seat. Chances are that the short is in the door though. With the appropriate wiring diagram the seat might be able to be jumped without being removed. It may be necessary to do this to get it out of the car anyway as the seat is normally moved the expose the holding bolts.
