The idle speed on my 85 380SE is around 550-600 RPM. At that speed, the oil pressure is just above the 2 mark. When the engine speed is between 750-800 RPM, the pressure is up at 3. Is this ok/normal?

Q, so far, all of my MBs (5 cars) have done the same thing. When cold, oil pressure is on-the-pin at idle. After drving at freeway speeds, and then into city traffic, oil pressure reads at '2' or so at idle. Goes to 'pin' at 750 rpm or so. I was told that that is normal for MBs.
