ABS Gear Selector A/C modules all fail...

pardon me I did search but saw nothing like what I have hence this thread. my mercedes benz C230 1997 wouldn't change gear the other day, it got stuck in second gear, the a/c went dead, ABS stopped working and the ABS light came on, engine light came on as well. This happened as I was driving down the highway. Suddenly I heard a "BUMP" and the car jerked forward as if it just switched gear and the A/C went out and the ABS light came on. I managed to drive a couple of miles then stopped. Tried to start after a while but it wouldn't get out of gear two (I suspect it was gear 2). It is an automatice car.
My mechanic has the codes for what went wrong but he is puzzled. He said he has checked all the major fuses and they seem to be ok. He talked about module failure, CAN etc (sigh I should have gotten the specific codes)
I suspect it might have something to do with a main fuse or module. I am NOT educated in cars of nowadays beyond changing the oil which I have failed at twice already..... Does anyone have an idea or has anyone experienced a total failure such as this. It seems everything computer controlled has failed in the car. Even the radiator water light is on but there is water in the radiator and engine light is staying on. Also now it vibrates when the mechanic starts it in the morning and runs rough for a minute or two then settles down.

Scratching my head as to what this could be. I am sure someone here has experienced this before.

Got the error Codes and they are many:
PO133 P1605 PO500 PO801 PO140 PO22 PO23 PO114 PO118 PO119 PO136 PO147

I hope I did the right thing by keeping the problem description right here instead of a follow up posting :)

IF you post the codes from traction system we might be able to help!

MOST common failure that causes all 3 systems to go down is the differential speed sensor for the traction system.

I have posted the codes as I got them from my mechanic. Thanks all!!

The one thing I know of that can affect all the ECU systems is the infamous OVP relay , any system faults where the ABS light comes on I would look here first, it's a tall silver relay in the ECU compartment at the rear of the engine bay. It's function is to protect the ecu's in event of a voltage surge ,there are two fuses on top which may have blown, but if your relay is made by Seimens it may have broken down internally and need to be replaced.
Hope this helps, Geo.

I will go ahead and do some research on the OVP. The mechanic thought it might be the ABS. I need to keep a close eye on things!! Thanks I will let all know once I have found out anything

No OVP on that chassis, but you may want to check the voltage regulaor ..possible low voltage condition.

My mechanic seems to think that the ABS is what needs to be changed. Does a defective ABS module have the ability to affect the other mechanisms in the manner described above, i.e failure of gear selector, failure of a/c etc?

AS posted several days ago.. what are the TRACTION system & TRANS codes that being stored?

NOT the engine codes that you listed!

Both the transmission & traction systems have their own codes, can your shop READ those codes??? IF not find a shop that can!

thanks for your advice M.B.Doc, my mechanic seems to believe that he has it nailed. He thinks it is the ABS control unit that is giving the trouble. Where can I get new or fairly used MB part. I am looking for this part:
0195454232
I will keep checking the site to see if there is a place I can get used or new ones cheaper than what obtains at the dealership
