The Fluid in that pump or tank is below minimun. What type of fluid can I buy to top up? Preferably buying from petrol station.

Can I top up whilst the engine is hot or running?

From what I've heard, "normal" power-steering fluid is fine for older MB's. Newer ones want the pricy stuff from the dealer.

Refilling hot is fine, as long as you fill to the hot mark. Check and refill with the engine stopped.
