I recently removed the dash on my 86 560SL to replace the AC evaparator, battery was disconnected, after reassembly, warning lights are on for both SRS and ABS, before dash removal both were normal, during removal of the heater box, the SRS energy accumulator was detached from it's mounting position under the center console, (also on reassembly I did not reinstall the hook latch for the radio theft alarm as it is an upgrade radio without MB theft protection and this appears to be only a ground lead,), I have carefully checked all conections, is there a reset or what do I do to fix? Thanks much.

Unfortunately the 86 has no self diagnostics for either system or reset procedure. When the system is right the lights will go off. Both systems are tested by dedicated testers. The most common problem is lack of power to the controller. On the ABS this often is the OVP relay. On the SRS there is no relay involved.
