g.u.d. filters, any good?
 

All of the air, fuel and oil filters I've bought recently in MB boxes from the dealer's parts dept are gud-brand. I had never heard of this brand until I got these filters. Are they any good? How many vendors does MB buy filters from and do I really care, or if it's in the MB box it's OK to use?

No idea myself....I've only seen them once. IIRC they were made somewhere in Africa.

Can't get any better than what comes in MB box (with hologram)

Common in the UK....used them without trouble for many years.
They made them for the Leyland group which used to be BLMC and before that
BMC and before that Austin Morris .
I've still got one of their expandable filter removal tools.
