Hi

Does anyone know of a cheap way to buy front door panels for a 1995 C280 with the MB-Tex interior? The dealer wants around 600 for the whole thing, and I was wondering if there was another way to obtain them like from a junkyard or other discount place new or used in good condition. I was also looking for MB- C-class parts in general. Also, to all C-Class owners I have a question to ask - that is your front passenger seat buttom cushion softer than driver's side? What part of the bottom of the seat would I need to replace to make it firmer or could it just be stuffed to make it real firm. Thanks for your suggesstions,

Troy

MB official recycled parts company is Potomac German Auto. Their phone # is 800-831-8901.

Troy,

Leave the door panels and seat cushions as they are and try finding a leather interior at a recycled part shop...

The front seat cushions are equally hard...The older W123 seats were easy to stuff to get a stiffer cushion, but I think the W202 upholstery leaves a little less room to add a floor-matt between the cushion and cover...(helps a lot).

Leather Interior

Hi Steve,

You would reccomend spending the money on a leather interior - 4 door panels and both front seats and rear seat back&cushion instead of buying new front door panels? If so, could you let me know if you know of someone who has a grey leather interior for sale or where I can get door panels cheap - I've found just the door panels (entire panel with armrest and no wood or seat controls for 249) at one place - is that a good deal? Thanks for all of you help,

Troy

Troy,

Here in the Netherlands we have web sites with on-line used parts (posted by all possible recycle shops) and web sites were customers can post wanted parts. I presume there should be something like that in the states as well...

249US$ per door panel...how many do you need (2??)...that is about 575 dutch guilders...Personally I think this price is rather high (for 1 door panel) and I would not pay that amount of money for it.
What is wrong with your current panels (dirty or broken)?

greetingz,
