Electrical problem

My wife was driving her '85 380SL. She made a left turn, and speedometer quit. She then parked car and turned off ignition and headlites. When she tried to restart, the ignition was dead. Had car towed home on flatbed. I fully charged battery! Headlights, parking lights, dash lites and seat belt buzzer and idiot lites and radio work. No brake lites, starter, nor power windows! No visibly blown fuses.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Don

Wow. That is a bizarre little glitch. Hopefully you can find the woe.

Sounds like worn brushes in the voltage regulator making intermittant contact.
