99 E300 Rattling Muffler
 

Where the exhaust pipe enters the muffler a crack has formed from rust. I probably have a few weeks before the entire muffler falls off.. And to make matters even worst it has created the most annoying rattling noise.

I need to replace to following:
3 rubber hangers
1 center clamp
1 rear muffler

Would you recommend replacing the above with Mercedes parts or non-OEM parts such as Bosal or Eberspaecher?

Are there any other parts I should purchase?

i have used a lot of ansa exhaust on my benzes. about half the factory cost and work fine.

i also have in the last few years done away with the rear muff and put on a straight pipe fabricated at the local muff shop. costs about $40 and lets it make a bit of noise which i enjoy. perhaps fractionally more power and a bit more mileage.
