W140 removing driver door lock
 

I am removing the driver door lock mechanism. The door would not open from the outside - I'm guessing something in the mechanism is worn.

I have everything disconnected from the lock except the red vacuum hose. Is there some trick to it? I am moving the hose connector in a circle and pulling it at the same time.

By the way, the job looked intimidating at first with all the hoses wires etc, but it's fairly straightforward.
