w124 hood adjust - how?

My w124 hood sits a tad too high when it's down, and in the wind while driving the corners dance a little. Drives me nuts. I don't think the hood is in jeopardy of flying, but it still drives me nuts.

When looking at the latches near the radiator and at the front of the hood, both are bolted to the body without shims. How can I lower the hood when it's latched so it doesn't dance anymore?
