Amg M110
Hey Guys, On One Of The Other Forums I Came Across A Picture Of A M110 Engine, And On The Valve Cover Was Embossed Amg!
Did Amg Make A Performance Unit For The M110, Or Is There Any Performance Parts Available For The M110 From Amg. I'll Try And Post A Pic Of The Engine |

That picture is from a 1972-75 model car...judging by the picture ONLY the valve cover has anything to do with AMG...look at the exhaust..still original cast iron manifolds.
IF that was AMG it would have headers. Doubt that ANY AMG part for cars OR engines before 1990 still exists. |

Rumor has it that if you have the part number(which is almost impossible in some cases to find out) that you can order parts for old AMG's from the dealership. I do know of some AMG parts that can still be bought at dealerships, infact some w126 AMG parts can still be bought in Europe via dealerships. |
AMG's genesis, how long ago?
Didn't Erich Waxenberger get the whole thing started way back in 1968 with that famous red sedan?
That predates 1972, so it could be posssible. Snibble's our AMG meister so he's know. Hans-Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher got things going in Grossapach back then, so I would bet there could have been parts then (but unlikely to be in stock now) Let's hear it for All Mighty God :D |
AMG has an automotive Forum; you can ask them for any information.

Today I went through AMG pictures(old AMG's) that I've collected and found a picture pertaining to the M110 engine that was tuned by AMG. AMG did more than just put a valve cover on that car.
Here's the specs of the AMG tuned engine.. I don't have a stock M110 specs, but shouldn't be hard to find. |
