1st post. greetings all. Oil cooler hose question
Any suggestions on changing out the oil cooler hoses for a 123? Do I have to lift the engine and remove the engine mounts? What a pain in the but!!
This is the first of soooooooo many questions. My mechanical is almost finished. Questions for the future: -Plugging all vacuum lines. -Reasonable costs for timing my fuel pump (I got the elvis shake going on after the engine gets warm) -suggestions on replacing the parking break pads -FINDING A REPLACEMENT HYDRAULIC HOSE FOR MY REAR SUSPENSION!!!! |
Welcome to the forum. All the questions you have, have been discussed to death. At the top of your screen is a search function. Log in and insert "oil cooler hose" and various variations to that. You will find numerous posts on the oil cooler line replacement. Removing the left engine mount IS the easiest way to do the job. Lifting the engine is not neccessary, just support it. I know its a lot but you want to do it right. Loosing these lines means loosing all oil, not a good thing.
Do searches on all your questions. If your particular question is not answered then of course post your question. Here is a good post on "TROUBLESHOOTING, Get the Most from your Post!" http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=127342 Dave |
