Is it possible for a W201

My car does not have the outside temperature display so I am thinking if it is possible to install one? I can see some used parts from ebay that with the display and so wire but i am not sure if it is a simple plug and play. Or i will need a whole new dushboards? plus a lot of wiring to make it work?

anyone has such experience before?

thx

my euro 500sel did not have one installed, i went to the junk yard and bought all the wiring up to the plug in the dash, which on that model has a plug under the fuse box, took me about 45 min to remove, had to connect harness to fuse 11 and to the light signal connection to illuminate the unit. took about 1.5 hrs to install. was well worht it.

so is it an easy DIY job?
coz i am in HK and i am not sure if I can find the parts for W201, may able to get the sensor from a W126 coz most of the good condition W124/126/W201 will be shipped overseas.....

what all do you need? i have some displays, i believe all are Farenheit, but may have celcius, all should be pretty much the same. i could pull one here from a 126 and send it to you in HK. i plan a trip to the wrecking yard this saturday.

i think i need everything... the display to the temp sensor, i will also have a trip to the junk yard and see what i cna get there...
but the main problem is, i am not a DIYer and not sure if i can install it by myself.
