1993 400e- Sunroof Slides Open And Close But....
 

Hello, Recently I've Also Picked Up A Minor Problem With My Electric Sunroof---it Slides Open And Closes But Will Not Lift Up On Back End The 3 Inches For Vent Position ?? Any Suggestions .this Is A 1993 400e 124/ M119. Thanks, Deano

I opened the sun roof on my "new" 300CE in the tilt position and something did not work right; seemed to bind. Then roof would not slide open either. Finally, by playing with the switch for normal slide opening, it worked, but the back end stayed up too high and now does not lock in place when closed, although it is maintaining a level position now. Any suggestions would be appeciated. I have the maint and repair instructions which tell you how to adjust the sunroof and plan to do that, but what could be wrong with the lift mechanism and latching mechanisms that I should look for? I suspect the sun roof was not used for some time and some corrosion in an important area created this binding result.
