I want to know if there is a backlight that illuminates the marks around the headlamp switch and also if the a/c windows levers are lighted for night visibility?:confused:

there is no backlighting for the h/l switch. it's just painted white. as for the "a/c windows"????r u referring to the vents/louvres? no backlighting for them either. the a/c display should illuminate with h/l on. if not there's a small pnut bulb that can be changed easily. just get the radio removal keys and use for a/c panel removal.

my '97 E320 has a backlight on the headlamp switch that stays on when the switch is in other than the "off" position.My A/C vent wheels are also lit on the left and right sides but not in the center. I seem to have read somewhere that this is normal but seems strange. I have a wiring diagram and will check.
