Battery light on in 300 CE

I am hoping someone has had this problem and can help. When starting my wife's 300 CE all of the dash lights come on as they should and go out upon starting, however the battery light and several others start to show themselves very dimly and brighten upon reving the engine. I had a new battery installed last year, replaced it today with one out of another car and the same thing happened so I am certain it is not the battery. I also had the alternator rebuilt 10 months ago...help please.
