Where is the Voltage Regulator located on a 1994 C 280?
Does anyone know where is VOLTAGE REGULATOR located on a 1994 C 280?
And how can you tell if your VOLTAGE REGULATOR is going bad? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... |
Recent Bosch alternators have a combination voltage regulator brush set screwed on the back of the alternator. Two screws and it's off. Check the brush length, they are spring loaded. It's available from the part sales section of this web site, http://catalog.peachparts.com/

On the '94 C280 the voltage regulator in inside the alternator. It is not on the back of the alternator and easy to replace like you would find on a 300E. You have to pull the cover off the back of the alternator to get access to the voltage regulator.

Best advice for you is to take your car to a professional.
Anyone that can't find an alternator can only break something trying to fix it. |
well i changed my spark plugs and cables my self and works now fine.. b4 the car was shaking and not going over 50 MPH but i got new spark plugs and and cables and print out how to do it from the internet and i did..
also i changed DuleValve to fix my Ac i just need to know where is it at please :) |
the back of your owners manual will show where it is, I mention the owners manual because it shows the routing of the accessory belt and the belt tensioner. All things you'll need to mess with.
I would say spark plugs and wires are a bit easier to access then the alernator mounting bolts. disconnect battery negative terminal before working on alternator. also u may get some additional info off the web at www.club202.com the alternator is the one with the vents and wires wrapped in the inside, the A/C compressor is the one with the high pressure lines. |
thank you so much , i found it and i took the Voltage Regulator out...
but what a surprise , its the Wrong one ??? the original one is BOSH 1197-311-022 the one that i bought 1197-311242 ??? |

When M-B changes one digit in a part number, it usually indicates an upgraded ( improved ? ) version of a part. |
