Question 1994 E320 new tranny

Has any one used Adsit to buy a replacement tranny? If so was the trannny good, bad or ugly. My car is in the shop right now because it wouldn't shift in to forth and then it down shifted to second on the interstate. The oil and filter were changed less the 10,000 miles ago and on the day it was hauled the oil looked like new and the level was right. I had it hauled to a Mercedes shop in Mpls. The shop wants $4148 for the tranny and $1210 for the torque converter and I don't know labor yet. Adsit wants $1700 and that includes the core for a rebuilt. The torque converter is way less also. My cousin and I can do the switch. It would be nice to get some feed back Thanks

Sounds like a very similar problem. Do a search on Adsit. Adsit price should not be that high - more like $1200 I think.

Yeah dude, I had the exact same scenario except I could of been killed on the freeway at the speed my car idiotically decided to change down a gear. Turns out I unplugged and replugged my kickdown switch and so far so good, it probably messed because of the carpet. What David said in that thread, i'll do later, until it begins to act the same.

P.S. how many miles do you have on the clock?
