A/C condensation
I have an 89 560 SL, My problem is when I am running the A/C, the condensation pools up and spills all over my floorboard when I make sharp turns. Shouldnt there be a drain line for this to drip harmlessly under the car? my wet feet appreciate any help here :(

Get under the car, around the transmission. Find the two hoses, Stick something like a clothes hanger up to clean em out. Watch out for the dirty old water.

It's a well-known problem in the 107. There are two drain tubes, one on either side, that exit near the forward end of the transmission tunnel; the usual remedy is compressed air. If you're going to try a wire from below, be *very* careful--it's not hard to convert a clogged drain into a punctured evaporator!
Occasionally, the problem is not just a clogged drain but a cracked condensate pan; replacement involves taking out the console. A search will find you multiple threads on this. |
