Loosen the bolt on top a turn or two and then spin the filter off.

There is a pre-filter on the left hand side of the filter housing (as viewed from standing in front of the car) that should be changed as well. It is about as big as your forefinger and has an o-ring which must be ordered separately. It is under the left hand most clear fuel line that leads to the fuel thermostat mounted in the head.

You will have to re-prime the the pump by manually cranking the motor for 20 to 30 seconds at a time until it catches. Once you "think" it has fired up, crank another second or two to be sure. Let the starter motor cool off if you have to crank for more than 2 or 3 cycles.
