Throttle Linkage Adjustment Procedure

My 1986 560SL has a problem with the throttle linkage tending to stick. Feels like one of the bellcranks is nearing an over center condition. I would like to know if anyone has the factory approved proceedure to properly set up the throttle linkages. My 107 CD is useless. A search here came up dry.

Factory goes into detail on length and angles to correctly set the progressive action of the rods and cranks.
Is the return spring still attached to the rod that goes down to the throttle plate ?

At rest, the bell crank cut out ( rear of engine pass' side...) should have the roller nearly all the way to the end of the slot.
Adjust rod with 'Kick Down' cable.... if fitted...disconnected.

It's also possible for the spark plug wires to hang the linkage up.

Can you see the over-center condition when you work the throttle? If not, I would disconnect the linkage in the middle to narrow down which side is sticking.

I can do that but I would prefer to start out with a correct adjustment proceedure. There seems to be a neer over center condition at WOT at the throttle body when actuating the top bell crank by hand. The car actually stuck at WOT the first time I drove it until I fully lubricated it. Some tweeking can get rid of this i'm shure. But what I am most concerned with now is a part throttle over center feeling when releasing the gas pedal and noticing the pedal will not retract until full pressure is released from the pedal. The pedal just doesnt follow with foot pressure.

I get the feeling the linkage was just installed with no proceedure followed and is all fould up everywher.

I found it, Thank you. The proceedure is not on my CD but it is in my printed engine manual.
