anybody paying attention to this? I have an interest and wondering what your thoughts might be.... the owner is leaving the country..he says this is a euro version.

it has euro bumpers, but the speedometer is not metric.

Basically a 190E 2.3 engine in a W123 chassis...nice car..some problems CAN crop-up if local dealer won't order parts for euro cars OR if your area has TOUGH smog testing...also some insurance companies have problems with a 14 digit VIN.....

thanks.... i have heard that exhaust systems are difficult.... but i am being told that this one is 3 years old...

well, i remain very interested if he wants to part with it at a good price. i figure it would be pretty easy to maintain since it is a 4 cyl.

no smog testing in South Carolina....no inspection at all.

This has no rust, which is the most important aspect for a long term investment.

i'll have to check out the insurance aspect. I have Allstate.... no collision or comp would be necessary.
