Seat,Sunrooof,& Wiper Failure

Yesterday I noticed my sunroof, windows, & seats stopped working, however the seats work when the doors are open. The fuses all seem good and I moved them around to make sure they were making good contact. Has anyone ever had this happen ? Is it a relay? Where can I find this relay or fuse? This happened once before I put the hazard switch on and everything worked again. The hazards are working, but not having the same curing result. Thanks for any help! The car is a 1991 300E 4-Matic.

check all fuses any way. i have seen them with fine cracks that are hard to see. check the one for the cigar lighter, not sure if this is what you have, but i have seen change from the ash tray fall into the cigar lighter and cause similar issues.

I checked the lighter/fuse and the ashtray has never been used for anything & looks brand new. Any idea where the relays are? I want to inspect & maybe give them a technical tap.

Thanks, I'm going to look but a pic is always great. Is there a way to test it easily ? I have a volt meter.

it may be hard to find, here are some pictures, remember yours may be black or grey, the two first pictures shows the resistor alone, and the other shows how it may look plugged in

does your meter do ohms? should have continuity one way and not the other when leads are switched

Back from the garage:I took out the resistor shook it and it sounds like theres alot of broken pieces inside;then tapped it gently on the floor, put it back in and everything is working perfectly. To be safe I will get a new one asap. My day just got better.Great advice.
