I need help on a mercedes 190E 2.3L Please I beg!
I had a overheating problem, my central fan was barely turning. So I bought a fan clutch for the car ( mercedes 190E 2.3L yr 1987) but after taking out the fan blade I could not find a spot to put the fan clutch.Where the fan clutch is located?
One thing is the magnet plate w/t the fan blade was worm out, so I bend it so it can stick to the motor. Therefore the central fan is turning constantly. Is that ok ? The second thing is I keep blowing off a fuse that protect the aux fan and tachtometer. Is the problem electrical or do I need to replace the aux fan too?can someone explain to me its role and how it works? I took a look and it seems worn out. third how do I find the engine number and chassis? mine is an automatic trans Hit me back please I am losing my mind. |
Hmmm
Where are you?

I'm guessing that you are blowing fuse 10. If so replace the thermo switch, it's definitely shorted.
Or for a quick fix, to keep from blowing the fuse, since you've locked the fan armature to the clutch, just keep the thermoswitch unplugged. |
The clutch is behind the pulley. You need to remove the pulley to get the clutch. Should just unbolt.
