CLK- automatic headlamps
 

Collected a new CLK last week & cannot get the automatic headlamps to switch off - even though it is bright daylight!! Before I go back to the dealer & possible make a fool of myself, I'd welcome some help.:confused:

is it a canadian model? i had one last week that the lights are on always. what year is your car?

The car is a brand new UK model.CLK200 Kompressor:wacko:

it is controlled by settings in the instrument cluster, you will need to acess the settings menu using the buttons on the steering wheel, there should be specific information in the owners booklet regarding this feature

still no joy headlights stay on:confused:

are daytime lights reguired in your country? it could also be a programming error with the instrument or the ignition switch you may have to take it to the dealer

been to dealership all is well, reprogrammed, wife and i were in san diego last year stayed in old town great hospitality. regards gavcat we live near hoylake england where tiger woods won the open
