UPDATE:
I took the car to a specialty MBENZ shop locally. They drained/recovered the freon and recharged with a dye in the system...the system took 2.5 lbs of freon. The A/C was blowing ICE COLD for 3 days, then again started degrading, and now blowing hot air from the two left dash vents, and cold from the two right vents (although not as cold as before). The shop suspects a leak and will take a look with a black light next. I will update this thread once they find the leak. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. BACKGROUND: I have a 1999 E430 with 97K on it. The A/C has been acting up. First, it started blowing warm air. Local shop added freon, it was working fine for a few days, then warm again. They thought it was a leak. They added a dye plus freon told me to come back a few days later. Several days later, warm air again in the left outlets, they scanned for a leak - no leak anywhere. Now, the system is blowing cold air from two left outlets, while the right side outlets are blowing warm air. Actual Values and Faults codes retrieved from system are below. The flap test seems to show all flap controls working as they should. Fault Codes: Eb1416, Eb1234 (fan sign on display) Eb1235, Eb1416 (with fan sign on display), Eb1459 (fan sign on display), E FF, and E. Actual values with outside temp approximately at 88F - 92F degrees, humidity at about 65%, car sitting in the sun: 1 105 2 121 3 96 4 82 5 138 6 202 7 15 8 141 9 31 10 5.7 11 E 12 2.7 20 10.9 21 42 22 00 23 32 24 13.3 (13.5) alternating 40 164 41 85 42 08 43 136
