Is there a character in the VIN that designates short or long wheelbase on the vehicles offered in both configurations? I find that sellers sometimes don't know what they have.

LETS say that the vin starts WDBGA42 that is a 1992 400SE, short wheelbase. The 1993 & later 400SEL's start WDBGA43. Same with the 300SE/S320's, WDBGA32 is a SE & the WDBGA33 is a long.
