problem during take-off
Hi
Yet another problem on my 1999 C280. When I take off from a dead stop, it seems as if the car wants to die on me before getting to speed. Its only for a very short period just after take-off (from stops, robots, etc). During normal highway/city driving, when its on its way, it drives like normal. Even when I start the car it seems if there is a "dead-spot" very low on the revs, just above idle speed. Any suggestions on what it can be? The car has 170 000 km on the clock, and the airflow meter was replaced about 9 months ago at 155 000 km. |

I dont think the oxygen sensor were ever replaced - bought it on 140 000km. What does the O2 sensor do?
How will problems with the throttle body show up. It sems as if there is a specific point on the revs that the engine just wants o die - somewhere just below the normal idle speed. |

I'll have to bump this post untill someone helps me, because I would not like to go to the dealer without some idea of what the problem might be $$$$$

Some feedback (although no-one on the forum really tried helping
![]() Had it checked out at agents. Seems that the air filter somehow got misaligned in the filterhousing and let "dirty" air through. Stuffed the airflow sensor - again. Luckily they replaced it at no charge, as they installed both the MAF and air filter at the last service. Pheeewww!! |
