PCV Valve

I checked the PCV on valve on my car, and it isn't sucking. My 89 190E is running like crap. I can't find the PCV on any website. Anyone else replaced it themselves?

I don't have a camera. Sorry. The valve seems to be attached to the valve cover. Strange.

MB's haven't used a PCV valve since the mid-70's.
ON a M103 2.6 engine there is a PCV orfice in the head. It connects to the valve cover with the "elbow" hose on the rt side under the air filter. IF the PCV is OK the engine will die if you disconnect that hose with the engine running.

So it is part of the valve cover? If I buy a new valve cover will that come with it? I'm also looking for the elbow hose so I can replace it. I took it off and the car almost died, but didn't.

The PCV orfice is in the HEAD (calibrated hole)!

My 89 300CE (W124) is drinking oil a lot (1 quart / 500 miles). Haynes book suggests to check/replace the PCV valve and PCV filter. Thanks to M.B Doc I know that there is no PCV valve in MB car anymore. What's about PCV filter? I was at Autozone today and they carry none.

Is there also no PCV filter?

Thanks!

Books like that take boilerplate and use it for all cars. Just ignore it and find the real reason for the oil consumption.

Yes, Steve, that what I am doing now, finding the reason for the high oil consumption. Only I thought I could start with the PCV thingy first, which seems to be simplest. So there is no PCV filter?
