Cruise Control Problem
I have an '88 Mercedes 300CE. The cruise control works intermittantly. I followed the troubleshooting in the service manual suggesting to check the contacts going to the amplifier but no luck...any suggestions?

Try this link. I had a similar problem. The GDL website is good cause it shows you how to test all the cruise parts. Before I went through the tests on the gdl website I actually called the guy, described the issue, and they virtually assured me it was the amp. Told me not to even bother testing the other stuff. Popped in a used amp and problem solved. You can get them used for $50 bucks shipped from www.europeanautomotivegroup.com.

MOST common problem is the module (they call it an amplifier). Other problem, not quite as common, is the actuator, thats the part under the hood.
