my top won't go up/down oil leaked from the passanger sun visor arm screwed in the top up/down button still lights up but no motor noise. all fuses are good. need help can put the top up/down mannually

VERY common problem on the R129 chassis SL's. Hydraulic elements are $140 each & take less than an hour to replace..the hydraulic reservoir in in the trunk under the spare tire & requires special fluid..

You might have better luck on the SL forum...

you have two pistons there that are very eassy to repair and very ship too. get it out and replace the seals by some oring and problems finito.
