My 90' 300SE's Odometer stoped working.
 

On my 90' 300SE the odometer stoped working last week. I cant figure out what this is due to. I checked the fuses which are all fine. I heard it cost about $300 to fix . Does anyone have any experience with this problem?

yes i have experience.vdo used a very cheap plastic for the gear that drives the odo.it does same thing as the wiring harnesses on the 91-95 cars it becomes soft and changes state to a different type of plastic.if you are handy with small stuff there is a site called speedometergears.com and they will have what you need to repair it. david poole dallas tx.
