2.4 AMG Petrol - help please
 

Hi, I need some help with a couple of things, firstly, my washer bottle is leaking ! it squirts water on the screen ok, but as you look from the front of the car, towards the bottom of the huge washer bottle is a rubber gromet (lower left corner) it is leaking water all the time ? should there be a tube in it ? or a bung of some kind ?

Next, my fan is not working and I cannot locate the thermostat, anyone know where it is located pls ?

first off, you need to tell us what year/model/engine this is, most of us over here probabaly have no idea what a 2.4 is.

for the washer leak, just replace that plug. its ripped around the base of it.

I guess the gromet plugs just deterioated?
 

Usually on MB washer tank there are 2 holes:
one for windscreen washer pump,
another one for headlight washer pump.

If your car does not have the headlight washer the pump location at the front is plugged by a rubber gromet.

This fails quite often.

If this si the case for you, just go to the dealer and buy replacement.

I would buy 2 - keep one spare.

Thanks for the help, the model is a 1998 2.4L (2400 cc) C240, but AMG converted.

pull up the air filter housing, the thermostat is right there front and center attached to the upper hose.

AMG converted in 1998?
