i tried to retrieve the codes for the check engine light today and the red light blinked 26 times in a row. what does this mean?

DTC from Diag Module
 

If your DIAG module is the same as mine ('94), 26 blinks means: Upshift delay 1 -> 2 (124.034 only), 2 ->3 (all models).

The upshift delay switchover valve (Y3/3) operates from a control signal from the LH control unit (N3/1) and puts vacuum on the the upshift delay element (transmission).

Most likely, there's a problem with the vacuum line or the Y3/3 valve.

I had a 26 pop up and found no vac leaks at swith over, but had one at intake.
Look around at all hoses and then clear the code. If it comes back, go from there.
